Classic square tea chest « Henri »

The « Henri » Classic Square Tea Chest honours Louis-Henri de Freycinet, whose distinguished naval career followed his participation in the expedition to the Southern Lands at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

Henry de Freycinet conceived Henri as a quieter and more architectural interpretation of the traditional travelling chest: a balanced object intended to sit naturally within a contemporary interior while retaining the strength, materiality and character associated with the House’s larger trunks.

Its precise 45 × 45 × 45 cm proportions create a distinctive cubic silhouette, allowing the chest to serve as both a functional storage piece and an object to be appreciated in its own right.

Each « Henri » chest is individually handcrafted to order in Montcaret, France, using carefully selected Italian leather and hand-finished materials. The result is understated rather than ostentatious, designed to acquire character with time and remain part of an interior for generations.

Each « Henri » Classic Square Tea Chest is handcrafted to order in France using carefully selected Italian leather and materials chosen for their durability and character.

As leather naturally develops a patina over time, variations in tone and surface are part of its character. Avoid prolonged moisture, excessive heat, direct sunlight and abrasive or chemical cleaning products. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth and contact the House if you require advice regarding deeper care or restoration.

Every Henry de Freycinet trunk is individually made to order in our workshop in Montcaret, France. From the selection of the leather to the final finishing and inspection, each stage reflects the attention to detail and craftsmanship that define the House.

Our trunks are created using carefully selected Italian full-grain leather and materials chosen for their quality, durability and character.

Each trunk carries its own unique serial number and is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity confirming its origin and craftsmanship.

Each chest is carefully inspected, protected and prepared for transport before leaving our workshop in France. International deliveries are entrusted to specialist carriers selected according to the destination and nature of the shipment.

Tracking information is provided once the piece has been dispatched. Delivery times vary according to destination and are separate from the made-to-order production period.

Please inspect the shipment upon delivery. Any visible damage should be recorded with the carrier immediately and reported to the House within 48 hours so that our team can assist you personally.
